The award ceremony, held in Gujarat, was a defining moment for Kartik, as he received the prestigious Rajat Kamal and certificate from President Draupadi Murmu.
Taking to Instagram to share the unforgettable experience, Kartik penned a heartfelt post, vividly capturing the moment his name echoed across the stage.

“I look back fondly, with a smile, at that young boy from Gwalior who dared to dream of acting in an environment where such dreams are often dismissed with laughter,” Kartik wrote. “Finally, I lived that moment… still overwhelmed with excitement and nerves… the dream of a small-town boy… the dream of every actor in our country…”
The National Award for Best Actor – ‘Chandu Nahi, Champiyon hai Main’ – was a culmination of a journey marked by determination and passion. Kartik expressed his eternal gratitude to Kabir sir and Sajid sir for entrusting him with the portrayal of India’s first Paralympic Gold Champion, Murlikant Petkar, on the big screen. “The journey was extremely painful, but the result is as sweet as rasmalai! I feel humbled and emotional at the same time,” he shared.
