Major League Soccer to resume on Apple TV tomorrow
Major League Soccer will be back on Apple TV starting tomorrow, July 16, as the league returns to regular-season play following a break for the FIFA World Cup.
Apple TV subscribers in over 100 countries and regions can watch all MLS matches without any blackouts. Subscribers will also have access to in-depth coverage, exclusive content, and games beyond the regular season, including events like the annual Leagues Cup tournament, Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup, MLS All-Star Game, and Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
All 30 teams will resume play after the World Cup Final, featuring six key matchups scheduled for July 16 and 17. Among the highlights are the rivalry clash between the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers in the Cascadia Cup, a Southern battle featuring Nashville SC against Atlanta United FC, and the latest installment of El Tráfico with the LA Galaxy taking on Los Angeles Football Club.
A total of 45 MLS players from 22 clubs and 17 countries participated in the 2026 World Cup, many of whom are expected to rejoin their teams as the league enters regular-season action. This group includes eight U.S. national team players, such as Vancouver Whitecaps FC’s midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, who contributed to the U.S.’s best group-stage performance at the World Cup. Columbus Crew defender Steven Moreira played a significant role for Cape Verde, starting every match as they reached the round of 32 in their first-ever World Cup. Nine Canadian nationals, led by Orlando City SC’s goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, also made history by helping Canada achieve its first World Cup win and progress to the knockout stage for the first time.
Several MLS players made memorable contributions at the World Cup, including Inter Miami CF captain Lionel Messi, who became the all-time top scorer in the tournament while leading Argentina. His achievements continue to enhance his legacy in the sport.
This summer, MLS also welcomes new international talents. Antoine Griezmann, a French international and World Cup winner from 2018, has joined Orlando City SC after a decade with Atlético Madrid. Meanwhile, Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn has signed with the San Jose Earthquakes, and notable Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has joined the Chicago Fire during the transfer window.
On July 16, Lewandowski is set to face his former FC Bayern Munich teammate Thomas Müller, now with the Vancouver Whitecaps, when Chicago hosts Vancouver at Soldier Field. This matchup reunites one of soccer’s prolific duos, adding another exciting storyline to the MLS season. EA SPORTS FC Mobile users can watch the game live via a simulcast of Apple TV’s broadcast on FCM TV, with eligible players also able to access a one-month free trial of Apple TV.
