Samsung TV Plus is strategically broadening its international content offerings by introducing new creator-led channels in several key markets. The subscription-free streaming service from Samsung Electronics has launched these channels in Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom, while extending its reach to Brazil and Mexico. This expansion covers a variety of genres including lifestyle, food, sports, news, and science, thereby increasing accessibility to content from prominent creators.
Market-specific Channel Introductions
- United Kingdom: In collaboration with 208 Studios, Samsung TV Plus has unveiled three new channels. Happy Place offers interviews from the popular podcast by Fearne Cotton, who boasts over 15 million social media followers. Golf Life provides a blend of golf and comedy from Ange, Jimmy, and Tubes Bullard, with a combined following exceeding 3 million. JOE Media delivers news and entertainment from a UK media brand with an audience of over 30 million across platforms.
- Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand: Luke Nguyen’s World follows the journey of Australian-Vietnamese chef Luke Nguyen as he explores culinary traditions and cultures. The show, comprising more than 95 episodes across nine seasons, expands Nguyen’s content footprint, already established in over 150 countries.
- Brazil & Mexico: The addition of Mark Rober TV, a 24-hour science and engineering channel, provides content dubbed from former NASA engineer Mark Rober, who has an extensive following of over 79 million across various platforms.
This strategic expansion highlights Samsung’s pivotal role in connecting the creator economy with the evolving landscape of television, facilitating creators’ access to new audiences via Samsung TV Plus.
