Samsung Electronics: Advancing Wireless Communication at Silicon Valley Summit 2026

Samsung Electronics announced the convening of global telecommunications industry stakeholders at the Samsung Research America campus in Mountain View, California. The Silicon Valley Future Wireless Summit 2026, occurring on October 15, follows the preceding Partner Day, both of which are dedicated to exploring the future of next-generation networks.

Over 100 telecommunications experts, including representatives from major global operators, manufacturers, government agencies, and academic institutions, are participating in these events. The agenda includes discussions on the evolution of software-driven networks in the AI and 6G eras, alongside ecosystem-wide collaborations aimed at creating new value across the telecommunications sector.

Driving Network Evolution in the AI Era

Partner Day facilitated in-depth discussions among industry leaders about software-driven network strategies and collaborative ecosystems. The event commenced with a keynote emphasizing the transformative role of AI in redefining telecommunications network architecture. Samsung underscored the importance of AI and connectivity convergence as pivotal for innovative communication methods, leveraging industry-wide insights to outline network evolution strategies for the AI era.

Panel sessions focused on experiences and lessons from virtualized network commercialization, exploring ways to evolve beyond connectivity by developing new services and translating them into business opportunities.

Angelo Jeongho Park, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Strategic Sales, Networks Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Networks in the AI era are evolving into intelligent infrastructures that understand diverse service requirements, adapt through virtualization, and deliver optimal solutions. Together with leading industry partners, Samsung has commercialized virtualized networks at scale. By integrating advanced AI technologies, we aim to transform communications infrastructure into a growth engine and lead the industry’s next leap forward.”

AI-Driven Innovations in Wireless Communications

The Summit’s program includes keynote presentations and three panel discussions: “AI-Native 6G Networks,” “Taking 6G to Space With NTN,” and “Connecting the Physical and Digital Worlds,” supplemented by technology demonstrations. These sessions explore AI as a core driver of network innovation, challenges in evolving 6G networks, and the role of satellite connectivity in space-based communication.

Participants will discuss satellite communication standards within the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and explore new user experiences through sensing and linking physical spaces to digital services, such as Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) and physical AI.

The technology demonstrations highlight cutting-edge 6G technologies jointly developed by Samsung and partners, including AI RAN implementations, eXtreme Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (X-MIMO) systems, Distributed MIMO (D-MIMO) technologies, and ISAC. Samsung is showcasing AI-enabled RAN performance, transmission results in the 6G candidate frequency band, user experiences at cell boundaries, and sensing performance utilizing base station infrastructure.

Jinguk Jeong, Executive Vice President and Head of the Advanced Communications Research Center at Samsung Research, commented, “6G and AI-native technologies represent the next step in telecommunications, enhancing connectivity. The Silicon Valley Future Wireless Summit 2026 highlights our commitment to collaboration with industry partners to advance telecommunications.”

Strengthening the Global 6G Ecosystem

The Summit and Partner Day align with Samsung’s strategic efforts to enhance collaboration on 6G and AI-native communication technology with global partners, including telecommunications operators and research institutions.

This year, Samsung has initiated collaborations with LG U+ and conducted field validation with Verizon during a significant international soccer event in Dallas, Texas, focusing on ISAC technology development. Research partnerships with NTT DOCOMO, KDDI Research, KT, SK Telecom, and SoftBank are also being strengthened as part of efforts to realize 6G technology.

Samsung is committed to deepening global partnerships and advancing research at the intersection of AI and communications, aiming to integrate innovation with business expertise and reinforce its leadership in AI-native, 6G networks.
