IND vs ENG: India maintained the dominance as they get lead of 89 runs on Day 2
The ongoing fourth Test between India and England is under the dominance of the hosts. Team India outplayed England on Day 2 by their batting performance. Losing the top order for a low score, Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar helped the team to get back in the match with brilliant batting performances.
England pacer James Anderson however, picked three wickets out of seven so far. Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar added 113 runs for the seventh wicket. Pant played an outstanding inning of 101 runs but was caught in the air by skipper Joe Root in the spell of James Anderson.
Sundar is still at the crease on the score of 60 with having Axar Patel on the other end. Jack Leach and Ben Stokes also picked 2-2 wickets each but couldn’t able to restrict the Indian batsmen from scoring runs. India gets the lead of 89 runs on Day 2 with having 3 wickets in hand. The hosts scored 294-7 so far after England get bowled out for 205 on Day 1.
Indian skipper and opener Shubhman Gill got out for the duck which is the second time in the series for both the players. If India wins or even draws the ongoing fourth Test, they will get the tickets of ICC World Test Championship Finals and will play against New Zealand, who already got the tickets for the Finale.
