Apple reveals 2024 Apple Design Award winners

Apple has announced the winners of the 2026 Apple Design Awards, recognizing 12 exceptional apps and games. The awards, unveiled at WWDC26, highlight developers from around the globe who have excelled in creativity, artistry, and technical expertise. From a pool of 36 international finalists, one app and one game were chosen for each of the six categories: Delight and Fun, Inclusivity, Innovation, Interaction, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics.

Meet the 2026 Award Winners

Applications and games in the ‘Delight and Fun’ category provide engaging and satisfying experiences powered by Apple technologies. The app grug, developed by Poti Poti Studio in Spain, offers a playful approach to daily wisdom with its unique affirmation prompts. Meanwhile, the game Is This Seat Taken? challenges players with quirky logic puzzles set in public transit scenarios.

The ‘Inclusivity’ category celebrates apps that offer great experiences for a diverse audience. Guitar Wiz, created by Bijoy Thangaraj from India, serves as a comprehensive tool for guitarists, incorporating Apple’s accessibility features. Pine Hearts, by Hyper Luminal Games Limited in the UK, is a game that rewards altruism and is designed to be accessible to all players.

For ‘Innovation,’ winners utilize Apple’s technologies in groundbreaking ways. The NBA app for Apple Vision Pro, developed by NBA Media Ventures, LLC, allows fans to watch multiple live games simultaneously with immersive features like Spatial Audio. Blue Prince by Dogubomb offers an innovative narrative experience through exploration and puzzle-solving.

The ‘Interaction’ category winners provide seamless interfaces tailored to their platforms. The Moonlitt: Moon Phase Tracker app by Flipping Hues Srls from Italy offers an elegant way to track celestial events. Sago Mini Jinja’s Garden is a game that allows children to explore gardening through an intuitive interface.

In the ‘Social Impact’ category, apps focus on meaningful contributions. Primary, from Wood Metal Rocks LLC, offers a spatial news interface for Apple Vision Pro. Consume Me, by Jenny Jiao Hsia and AP Thomson, combines gameplay with personal storytelling to connect with users emotionally.

The ‘Visuals and Graphics’ winners showcase exceptional imagery and cohesive themes. Tide Guide: Charts & Tables, developed by Condor Digital, is a sophisticated tide tracking app with custom animations. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition from CD Projekt S.A. in Poland delivers a visually rich open-world experience, optimized for Apple silicon on Mac.
