Apple unveils cutting-edge music venue Apple Music Hall in London

Apple has announced the opening of Apple Music Hall, a cutting-edge live music venue situated in the historic Battersea Power Station in London. This new space is designed to provide a unique and intimate performance experience, connecting artists with their fans in a way that’s not available elsewhere.

Innovative Features for Artists and Fans

Apple Music Hall offers a state-of-the-art experience, allowing artists to perform live shows that can be recorded in Spatial Audio. The venue is equipped for both audio and video production, enabling performances to be captured in a broadcast-ready format with multicamera video. Built with creative control in mind, the venue features a 38-foot-wide stage adaptable for various types of performances and a 48-speaker spatial sound system that surrounds the audience.

The design of Apple Music Hall takes inspiration from its location in the iconic Battersea Power Station, incorporating elements like heritage brickwork, fluted arches, and bronze balconies. A large glass wall connects the interior with the river view, enhancing the venue’s aesthetic appeal.

Comprehensive Production Capabilities

Behind the scenes, Apple Music Hall functions as a complete production facility. It includes professional-grade recording and mix studios that enable performances to be mixed live or after the fact. Artists can leave with a multitrack recording and a finished Spatial Audio mix. The venue is also outfitted to support both iPhone video capture and traditional broadcast cameras, allowing for global livestreams of performances.

Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director, expressed enthusiasm for the new venue, highlighting its potential to foster memorable music experiences and share them worldwide.

New Radio Studios and Apple Music’s Commitment

Alongside the opening of Apple Music Hall, Apple has launched new radio studios at Battersea, where all London-based hosts and shows will now broadcast live. Apple Music Radio continues to connect fans and artists through live shows, interviews, and special content.

Apple Music, known for its innovation in the music industry, offers a vast library of over 100 million songs, curated playlists, and artist interviews.
