Virat Kohli becomes the first cricketer to reach 100 million followers on Instagram

Indian skipper Virat Kohli becomes the first cricket star to hit the milestone of 100 million followers on Instagram. International Cricket Council (ICC) congratulated the cricket star through the post on their official page of Twitter.

Virat Kohli is one of the most successful cricketers of the current time as he scored 69 tons so far in his Test and ODI career. Kohli has a fan following all around the world and also he is one of the favourite sports stars of many legends.

Kohli recently surpassed Indian former skipper, MS Dhoni, and becomes the most successful captain in India after defeating England in the third Test by 10 wickets in Motera, Ahmedabad.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared the post on their social media page with the memories of today in 2008, when Kohli helped the Under-19 Indian team to lift the World Cup as a skipper.

Portugal stars Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram as he has 265 million followers. Lionel Messi stands second with 186 million followers whereas Brazil star Neymar has 147 million followers. The others in 100 million club are Hollywood actor and former pro-wrestler Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, American singer-songwriter Beyonce, and Ariana Grande.
